Nay, by the Moon 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 Warn the men. 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 except the people of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
