Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
