Nay, by the Moon 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
