By no means! By the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 Of evil-doers: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As they were frightened asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
