Nay! By the moon 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 A warning unto humankind 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
