Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man think We shall not put his bones together? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asks: "When will the Day of Resurrection be?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 then it will be for Us to explain it. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 Knowing that they will be subjected to a torment that breaks the backs. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 And it is asked: "Is there any reciter of charms and amulets?" 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 On that Day you will be driven to your Lord. 30
