[Useless, though, will be his repentance: for [as long as he was alive] he did not accept the truth, nor did he pray [for enlightenment,] 31 but, on the contrary, he gave the lie to the truth and turned away [from it,] 32 Then went he to his folk with glee. 33 Woe to you, [O man!], yes, woe to you. 34 then nearer to thee and nearer! 35 Does man think that he is to be left to wander without an aim? 36 Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in lowly form)? 37 which then became a leech-like clot; then God shaped and fashioned him in due proportion, 38 And assigned it sexes, male and female. 39 Does He then not have the power to bring the dead back to life? 40
True are the words of God the Almighty.
