Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
