Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
