The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 and [then bethink thyself of] the promised Day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they sat by it, 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
