He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ (The Prophet) frowned and turned away, 1 Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him? 4 For him who does not care, 5 To him dost thou attend; 6 although thou art not accountable for his failure to attain to purity; 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 From him thou art distracted. 10 NAY, VERILY, these [messages] are but a reminder: 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 On honoured leaves 13 Exalted and purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Honourable and Virtuous. 16 Perish the human! How unthankful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 Out of a drop of sperm! He creates and proportions him, 19 Then maketh the way easy for him, 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 Then when He listeth, He shall raise him to life. 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 Then let man look to his food, 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 And We made corn grow, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 And olive-trees and palm-trees 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 And fruits and herbage: 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 wife and sons, 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 Many faces will that day be bright, 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 but others will be gloomy 40 with darkness overspread: 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
