Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
