In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 separating one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
