Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 As justification or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
