Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 separating one from another, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
