Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a known term? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
