Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 separating one from another, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
