Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 As justification or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
