The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 By the angels who release with gentle release. 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 And who plan the implementation. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They say: “That will then be a return with a great loss!” 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 and say [unto him,] 'Art thou desirous of attaining to purity? 18 Then I shall guide thee unto thy Lord so that thou shalt fear. 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 And he summoned all his people, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
