The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 and those that draw out violently, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 then he mustered 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
