[O Men!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built, 27 and raised its vault high and proportioned it; 28 Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). 29 And after that He spread the earth; 30 And brought forth therefrom its water and its pasture; 31 And the mountains hath He firmly fixed;- 32 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 33 So when the greatest universal disaster arrives, 34 The Day whereon man shall remember whatsoever he had striven for. 35 And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth, 36 Then as for him who is inordinate, 37 and preferred the life of this world [to the good of his soul,] 38 Then indeed hell only is his destination. 39 But, whosoever feared the standing before his Lord and prevented the self from desires, 40 paradise will truly be the goal! 41 They will question you about the Hour: 'When shall it be' 42 What concern do you have to speak about that? 43 To your Lord is the goal of it. 44 Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it. 45 The Day they see it, (It will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn! 46
