۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 and do you make it your living to cry lies? 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 [he, too, will be welcomed into paradise with the words,] "Peace be unto thee [that art] of those who have attained to righteousness!" 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
