The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 He said, 'Truly I am a detester of what you do. 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
