Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
[O MEN!] Are you more difficult to create than the heaven which He has built? 27 He hath raised the height thereof and perfected it. 28 And He made its night dark, and started its light. 29 After this, He spread out the earth, 30 after that bringing forth from it its water and its pasture land, 31 And He made fast the hills, 32 an enjoyment for you and your herds. 33 When the great calamity comes, 34 The day when man remembers all that he had done, 35 And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see - 36 anyone who has acted arrogantly 37 And preferred the worldly life, 38 surely Hell shall be the refuge. 39 And as for him who dreaded standing before his Lord, and restrained his soul from lust, 40 surely Paradise shall be the refuge. 41 They ask thee of the Hour: when will it come to port? 42 [But] how couldst thou tell anything about it, 43 Unto thy Lord is the final end of it. 44 You are only a warner for those who fear it. 45 On the Day when they behold it, [it will seem to them] as if they had tarried [in this world] no longer than one evening or [one night, ending with] its morn! 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
