He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind came to him. 2 What made you think that he will not grow in virtue, 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 you attended to him, 6 Though it is not your concern if he should not grow (in fulness). 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 And he fears, 9 of him you were unmindful. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 exalted, purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 From what has God created him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 Then He eased the way for him; 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life. 22 Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him! 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts], 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 And grapes and vegetables 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 the densely tree'd gardens, 30 and fruit and pastures, 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 those will be ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
