Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 the mountains are scattered about as dust, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when the Scorch shall be made to blaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
