And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." 41 "Go swiftly to the spring," (We said). "This cold water is for bathing and for drinking." 42 And We granted to him his family and also the like of them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to people of understanding, 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 This is an advice; and indeed for the pious is an excellent abode. 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks; 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what you were promised on the Day of Reckoning: 53 this, verily, shall be Our provision [for you,] with no end to it! 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 Hell, wherein they roast: a wretched couch. 56 All this; so let them taste it - boiling water and pus, 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64
