Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 And when souls are united, 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain. 9 And when the books are spread, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 When whither go ye? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
