The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when the souls are paired 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 No! I swear by the slinkers, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 and the night that falls, 17 and brightening morning, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 Surely he beheld Him on the clear horizon. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
