The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 The mountains made to move, 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 So by oath of those, the planets that revolve. 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 For those of you who desire to walk the path that is straight, 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
