The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 having power, with the Lord of the Throne secure, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 So where are you going? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
