Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 such as, "For what crime were they murdered?" 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 He is not chary of making public what is unknown. 24 And it is not the word of an accursed Satan; 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
