The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
