Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble scribes, 11 They know what you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
