Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 and when graves are laid open, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble scribes 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
