Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 And indeed there are some guardians over you. 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know what you do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
