Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 watching over you 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
