Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, fashioned you perfectly, and gave you due proportion; 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 noble recorders, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
