Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Noble and recording; 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
Almighty God's Truth.
