Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 noble recorders, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
