The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And the promised day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
Almighty Allah's Truth.
