The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 while they sat around it, 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection). 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
