The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works, theirs shall be Gardens whereunder the rivers flow; that is the supreme achievement. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism). 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Nay! This is a Glorious Quran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
