The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
