Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star that shines with a piercing brightness -- 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Verily! This (the Quran) is the Word that separates (the truth from falsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil). 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
