The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are planning a scheme, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
