The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
