Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 And the wretched shunneth it. 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
