The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
