The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 And who destined and [then] guided 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears will mind, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
